Welcome to ChemTec Pest Control! We are excited to offer you quality pest control!
This is a 2-treatment process. This prep has instructions for both treatments, so you will need to keep them for the entire process. If time allows, you will receive 2 texts and 2 emails before each appointment. You will need to confirm once for the initial treatment and once for the follow-up.
All pesticides used by a licensed pest control company are child-friendly and pet-friendly when dry.
Have all the recommended preparations completed before our arrival. If you are not prepared for service, please request more time before the scheduled appointment. If you have any questions, please call us at (806) 773-0527.
PRE-TREATMENT PREPARATION FOR BED BUGS:
For best results, follow the preparation instructions below. Quality time spent on proper preparation will be rewarded with faster results.
1. Remove all sheets, covers, dust ruffles, comforters, pillows, and any other bedding covers from your mattress and box spring in all bedrooms. Wash all bed linens in the hottest water possible and then run through a hot dryer cycle for a minimum of 40 minutes.
2. All clothes on the floors and hanging over chairs should be picked up and washed as above. Place in a large garbage bag, seal at the top, and move out of the room(s) until the treatment has been completed. The technician will let you know during the inspection if you need to remove your hanging clothes or items from the closet floor.
3. De-cluttering will assist in removing potential bed bug harborages. Remove all items from under all beds. Check items for signs of infestation. Cardboard is a favorite harborage for bed bugs. Dispose of any unwanted packaging materials to remove these harborage sites from your home.
4. Pull out beds at least 3 feet from the walls. It is not necessary to remove clean clothing items from drawers or cabinets unless these items are clearly infested (visible bed bugs).
5. Remove your breakables away from the bedrooms and living room area, as we need room to flip furniture. Unplug and remove anything in the outlets in these rooms too.
6. If you applied any bed bug dust to bed frames, baseboards or floors, it must be removed completely before our service. Our product will not adhere to a surface that has dust on it.
7. Remove all clothing items from beds with built-in storage. Wash all items in the hottest water possible and then run through a hot dryer cycle for a minimum of 40 minutes. Items can be replaced after treatment.
8. Vacuum baseboards to remove dust build-up from all bedrooms. Remove the vacuum cleaner bag or contents of the canister, place in a plastic bag, and place in the trash can outside your apartment/home.
9. Children’s toys, pet toys, food dishes, and exposed food should be placed in a protected area.
10. If you are ill or pregnant, or if you or any member of your household has sensitivity to chemical odors or other odors, ChemTec Pest Control recommends that you contact us for product information and consult with your physician prior to the treatment.
11. Do not plan to re-enter the premises for at least 1 hour after we notify you that we have completed the treatment unless directed otherwise. We will be wearing a respirator while we are treating your residence. If you have medical problems or are sensitive to odors, it may be advisable to stay out longer. Consult your physician.
AFTER INITIAL TREATMENT:
1. In order to give the treatment time to work, do not steam clean carpets but vacuuming is ok. Do not mop within 3 inches of the furniture or baseboards if there is no carpet. Sweeping is ok.
2. Keep beds pulled out from the wall until your second service in approximately 2 weeks. All other furniture and miscellaneous items can be returned to their original position after the initial treatment.
3. After the initial 1-hour waiting period, you can remake your bed. We will need to inspect the mattress again on follow-up visit.
4. Please allow 3-4 weeks after the treatment for it to be completely effective. Bed bugs may not leave their harborages for a number of days after treatment, and nymphs hatching from eggs will not be affected until they cross a spray barrier. However, all bed bugs will die within 3-7 days after crossing a treated surface.
5. DO NOT SPRAY ANY OVER-THE-COUNTER PRODUCTS OR INTERNET HOME REMEDIES ON TOP OF OUR TREATMENT. (This will only cost you more money, as it dilutes our products and you will need more treatments.)
FOLLOW-UP INSPECTION (TWO WEEKS LATER):
UNCONFIRMED FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENT: If you do not respond to our texts or emails for notification of service, we will assume you want to the cancel service. We do not show up for unconfirmed appointments.
NO-SHOW FOR FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENT: If the technician arrives and you are not available between the confirmed hours, we will not wait. You will forfeit your free follow-up.
If we find live activity, we will re-treat again at this time.
